The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the National Coastal Surveillance System (NCSS) project at Kampong Kuala Tutong yesterday.
NCSS is a net-centric surveillance system which is the first of its kind in the Sultanate, which will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
To aid in the maintenance and protection of the country’s maritime domain, which is seven times larger than the country’s land area, the NCSS system will enable agencies to give their best and timely response to security threats in Brunei waters by providing maritime domain awareness.
