QUAD-204 FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) Unit

PAGE EUROPA is supplying to "Hyundai Heavy Industries Co." (South Korean EPC Contractor) for "BP Exploration Operating Co. Ltd." (End User in UK) a complete fully integrated communication, security and marine system for the new FPSO unit, acting as "Telecommunication Systems Integrator (TSI)", responsible for systems design, engineering, procurement, integration, IFAT, delivery, on-site services.

Located West of Shetland in the UK North Sea, the QUAD 204 is an ambitious project to construct a new Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit to replace the existing Schiehallion FPSO.

This will also include an extension of the existing subsea system with: 15 new and replacement flow lines, 21 new and replacement risers, addition of 14 new wells to the 52 existing ones.

Once completed, the FPSO is expected to produce 130,000 barrels of oil and 2.2 million cubic meters of gas.

The new FPSO and its subsea structures will be installed in modules and will be producing by 2017.

COMMUNICATION Systems:TETRA Private Mobile Radio system for the daily operations with ATEX terminals, Satellite Communication system, Aeronautical and NDB Radio system, Crane Radio system, Telephone system with more than 90 ATEX-certified terminals, Data Network, Hazardous Wi-Fi Network, Wi-Max link, Structured Cabling and Fiber Optic, Public Address & General Alarm (PA/GA) system, Entertainment system, Telecommunication Alarms & Supervisory system.

SECURITY & SAFETY Systems:CCTV Surveillance system with more than 80 ATEX-certified PTZ cameras, Access Control System, Personnel Tracking Control system.

MARINE Systems:Integrated Marine Structural Monitoring system, Radar Early Warning system, Global Maritime Distress and Safety system including VHF Marine - EPIRB - Rescue Boats equipment - Inmarsat - Navtex.

Engineering Studies for:PA/GA coverage, CCTV coverage & Radio coverage.
